About the RoleTe Whatu Ora Waikato is looking for a Team Leader within the Payroll Department. This is an exciting role to lead a team of Payroll Administrators to deliver payroll services for Te Whatu Ora Waikato employees. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will work to ensure accurate and timely payments to all employees.
This includes ensuring compliance with policies, employment agreements, and relevant legislation. The Team Leader will also lead User Acceptance Testing for system changes, and interfaces to the Enterprise Reporting System.Ideally you will be proactive and have experience with leading a payroll team to meet specific deadlines, combined with an ability to manage multiple processes under pressure.
You will have experience working in a fast paced, high and complex payroll environment. You must be highly organised with excellent communication skills.Required skills include a strong technical ability to understand complex payroll rules and legislation, and practical application of these rules and legislation.

You must have the ability to lead a team, and the knowledge and expertise to inspire others through support and mentorship. You will have the skills to build and nurture a positive work culture.
