About the RoleWere offering a permanent, night shift (23:30 07:30) part-time opportunity for a Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Pre-Analytical Technician to join our Specimen Registration team. This role plays a key part in supporting the laboratorys operations. Once training is complete, you will be rostered to the night shift four nights a week, contributing to essential healthcare services.Key responsibilities:Receive, label and process specimens according to established protocols and quality standards.Perform accurate data entry and maintain comprehensive records of patient and specimen information.Prepare specimens for analysis, ensuring proper handling, storage and documentation.Manage time effectively to facilitate the prompt distribution of specimens to relevant departments.Deliver excellent customer service to patients, clinicians and other healthcare professionals. About the Team/ServiceThe Specimen Services Department plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by managing the collection, processing, and distribution of patient specimens for testing. Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the department is staffed by a dedicated team of professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring specimens are handled accurately and promptly to support timely diagnosis and treatment. About youDemonstrated ability to understand and follow detailed instructions and established operating procedures.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in data entry with accurate typing skills.Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Prior laboratory experience is preferred.
