About the Team/Service/ LocationOur laboratory is an integral part of the wider laboratory services at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Waikato, servicing inpatients, outpatients and community patients.
Tokoroa laboratory has a team of 14 staff. The laboratory has up to date technology, and mostly performs testing of Haematology and Biochemistry samples for hospital and community patients. A smaller amount of Microbiology is performed on site.
The laboratory also issues blood products, and oversees a range of Point of Care testing for the clinical areas of the hospital. About TokoroaTokoroa is ideally located as a gateway to the Central North Island’s natural beauty, offering a unique blend of outdoor recreation and rich Māori heritage.
