Dental Practice Manager - Christchurch

Christchurch Periohygiene is looking for a professional and organised Dental Practice Manager to join our team. This is a key role, combining patient care at the front desk with the smooth running of the office behind the scenes.

What we’re looking for:

• Forward-thinking, organised, and able to anticipate the needs of both patients and clinicians
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
• Computer literate with confidence using Dental Practice Software, Dental Radiography Software and other computer software like Word, Excel, Xero and emails. Able to trouble shoot simple IT problems during daily use.
• Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
• 3+ years relevant experience in the dental field required, including both clinical and managerial experience

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing day-to-day operations to keep the practice running smoothly
• Supporting the clinical team with administrative and organizational needs
• Organizing and allocating resources, equipment and supplies as required
• Processing payments, handling patient accounts, and budgetary/bookkeeping responsibilities
• Seek feedback, manage complaints and champion ideas and improvements to enhance patient experience and workflow
• Ensuring that all procedures meet the required standard of care
• May be required to assist with some clinical duties if required (and within licensing limitations)

Hours & Availability:

• Shift work required, including Saturdays
• Clinic hours:
• Monday - Thursday: 7.45am – 7.30pm
• Friday - 7.45am
• 5.30pm
• Saturday - 7.45am - 4.30pm
• Minimum of 32 hours per week

Remuneration and benefits:

• The indicative wage for this position will be $35-$40 per hour
