Construction and Technical Recruitment are working with a well-regarded construction company who is seeking a capable Construction Project Manager to deliver a new build commercial project in Taupo. This is an initial 8-month project with strong potential to lead into further projects across the region.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager or Senior Site Supervisor who is ready to take the next step into a Project Management position, with support from an established delivery team.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing the project from site establishment through to completion, ensuring programme, cost, quality and safety targets are achieved. You will work closely with site teams, subcontractors, consultants and senior management to deliver a successful outcome.

Key responsibilities include:

• Day-to-day management of the construction programme
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
• Managing budgets, cost control and variations
• Overseeing health & safety, quality and environmental compliance
• Liaising with consultants, clients and local authorities
• Reporting on progress, risks and performance to senior leadership

• Background as a Site Manager, Senior Site Supervisor or Project Manager within the commercial construction sector
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, subcontractor management and site delivery
• Sound knowledge of health & safety and quality systems
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Motivated to step up into, or further develop within, a Project Management role
• Experience on commercial new build projects in New Zealand is preferred
