Centra Forklifts (NZ) Ltd is the New Zealand distributor for Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks and operates business units in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Palmerston North and Christchurch.

Centra is a family owned New Zealand business, and maintains a wide range of equipment including petrol/LPG, diesel and battery electric machines, and also a large forklift rental fleet.

About the role:

Due to an increased demand in the Auckland area, we require your versatile forklift technical skills to work on small and large IC and electric machines. You will work primarily at customer sites, and also at our Auckland based workshop.

No two days will be the same. You will enjoy the work on Mitsubishi forklifts, a tier-one, award winning international brand, and contribute to our ongoing team success, as well as exceeding our customer’s requirements. Come and join our friendly and professional team.

The Role:

• Maintain a range of warehouse and counterbalance forklift trucks;
• Use your skills to diagnose and remedy faults on IC and electric forklifts;
• Repairs on customer sites or at our workshop, as required;
• Rostered after hours call out provision is supplied;
• Realtime job admin processing direct into our state-of-the-art field service module;
• Technical assistance available;
• Gain regular product familiarisation and training in person and via Mitsubishi Logisnext online;
• Large stock holding of parts;
• Full range of Mitsubishi service manuals.

Key requirements:

• The ability to work within a small team;
• 3 years minimum mechanical experience;
• A strong electrical background will influence your hourly rate.
• A 'can do' attitude with a 'no problem' approach;
• Attention to detail, in particular over personal image and presentation;
• The ability to work unsupervised;
• Reliable, trustworthy, energetic, self-motivated.

You'll be provided with a company vehicle for day to day travel to customer sites including to and from work. Electronic tools of the trade supplied.
