About the Role Are you anexperienced Registered Nurse seeking greater autonomy and working in anenvironment with a diverse range of patient care.

We have an opportunityavailable in our KenepuruDistrict Nursing team.DistrictNursing is a dynamic and evolving field, offering a multi-faceted role thatsupports patients in their homes and communities.

We're looking for compassionate, adaptable RNs whothrive in autonomous practice and enjoy working collaboratively within asupportive team.

What we offer Flexible shifts, morning: 8:00am
  • 4:30pm andafternoon: 1:30pm
  • 10:00pm.Access to regular in-service training, study days, and post-registration academic opportunities.Opportunities to contribute to service development through our Clinical Governance meetings.A supportive orientation period for nurses new to community care.What we'relooking for:Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Experience in community nursing, palliative care, medical, or wound care is highly valued

About theTeam/Service/LocationWe'reseeking District Nurse to joinour supportive nursing team, working out of the Community Health Building, Kenepuru CommunityHospital campus.District Nursing is a dynamic and evolving specialty.

Our nurses play avital role in supporting patients transitioning from hospital to home, and inworking alongside GP practices to provide care in the community.Delivering home-based interventions including: Intravenous therapyPalliative careWound careCompression bandaging and Doppler assessmentsMedication managementStoma and incontinence careRespiratory support and home oxygen therapyAssessing patients for their personal care needs and developing careplans.

Direction and delegation of the Health Care Assistants (HCAs) andcollaborating the wider Community Health team to ensure safe, coordinated care.About youTo be successful in this role:A current Annual PracticingCertificate as a Registered Nurse with the NZ Nursing Council.Previous experience in districtnursing or a strong interest incommunity-based care.At least five years of broad clinicalnursing experience.On the Professional Development andRecognition Programme (PDRP), or willingness to work towards it.Strong clinical assessment anddecision-making skills.Ability to work both independently andcollaboratively.Excellent relationship-building skillswith community healthcare providers.A currentdriver licence is essential.Working at HealthNew Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is'the weaving of wellness'.
