Civil Works Labourer
We’re on the hunt for a skilled Civil Labourer to join a busy Dunedin-based crew. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong civil background and the ability to operate machinery or assist with a range of site tasks.If you’ve worked in a civil crew before and bring experience across traffic control, drainlaying, kerb and channel work, compaction, or steel tying — we want to hear from you.
Location: Dunedin CityStart date: Immediate start available
Pay rate: $27–30 per hour (paid weekly)
You’ll be doing:
- Civil site prep and labouring tasks
- Operating small plant such as rollers or compactors
- Supporting drainage and kerb/channel work
- Helping with steel tying and traffic control as required
To be successful, you’ll need:
- Proven experience in civil or construction labouring
- WTR endorsement and full Class 1 licence (Class 2–5 a bonus)
- Solid physical fitness and strong health & safety awareness
- Ability to work well in a team and follow site instructions
- Reliability and readiness to start immediately
- Able to pass a drug test
- Weekly pay
- Potential for ongoing work
- On-site parking available (site dependent)
