This position has varied levels you can come in as, so keep an eye out for the salary descriptions for each level at the bottom of this ad.The role itself is key to the operational support of Windows and Linux environments and works across the full spectrum from physical devices, virtualisation, operating systems and application support.You'll be joining a specialised and close-knit team that enjoys challenges and working collaboratively.The team is passionate about what they do and are excited to have you onboard!Key responsibilities Information and data management Subject matter expertise Systems management and engineering Technical designWho we're looking for You will be someone who also likes a challenge and is eager to participate.
You'll understand the need for policy and processes and have a process improvement mindset.Pending the level you are considering applying for, we expect to see the following outlined in your application:Level 1: At least 3 years' relevant experience in the computing or IT industry Infrastructure management skills and experience in at least one of: Windows Unix (Linux) Replication/backup and recovery management Equipment installation System skills and experience in Active Directory Computer scripting skills would be a bonus!Level 2: Minimum 5 years' experience in the computing or IT industry Infrastructure management skills and experience in: Virtualisation technologies Windows Unix (Linux) Equipment installation System skills and experience including: Active Directory DNS Understanding of Databases and Certificates Before you applyWorking within our unique environment means we have to ensure you're eligible for employment.You must: Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 years OR Hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.
