About the role:You thrive when you are supervising a team, keeping deliveries to a schedule and providing excellent customer service. You get transport and freight, and you thrive on a challenge. You are comfortable with people and processes - the day-to-day operational responsibilities of supervising the Drivers so that all jobs are professionally completed according to the schedule, phoning customers to co-ordinate delivery and pick-up times, and ensuring the quality and security of customers' products.
You're a thinker and do-er, who is highly organised and knows how and when to change the plan to respond to a changing situation, can think on your feet, keep calm and able to make good decisions and communicate effectively.You're already successful in what you do, and you are ready for a new challenge within our fast paced, performance-oriented NZ wide transport and logistics company. You also like the fact that we offer development, and we're located in Palmerston North - meaning this role is a great one to snap up.
What you will bring to the role:
- Able to train and communicate effectively with our people (verbal and written)
- Fit for work - lifting, pushing, pulling, movement of freight by hand and trolley is required
- Safety focused - able to lead and manage health and safety in your team
- Strong communicator - face to face, and on the phone or email
- Good at using the computer, including Microsoft Office systems
- Eager to learn and develop new skills for advancement
- Class 2 License is a requirement for the role.
