Carpenter/Ceiling Fixer

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis (Minimum 45 Hours per Week) with a rate between $28-$33 an hour, dependent on skills and experience.
The primary role will be as a Carpenter, however, may be required to carry out other duties such as fixing and installation of acoustic tiles, composite wall linings, suspended ceilings, Ceiling Fixer, aluminium partitions and fire rating systems.
The suitable applicant will show potential and interest to work within our competitive industry, have ability to take instructions and follow them correctly.
Skills & Experience:
Successful candidates must meet the following criteria:

Experience as a Carpenter
Experience within the interiors sector
3+ years of experience
Ability to read construction plans
A current SiteSafe Passport would be advantageous
Experience using hand tools and electric power tools
Understanding of site inductions
Ability to prioritise under pressure
Health & safety adherence
A solid work record
Fit and capable of manual heavy lifting
Available to work Saturday's and evenings (if required)
Valid New Zealand drivers’ licence or overseas equivalent
Must pass our pre-employment medical check, alcohol and drug test.

Due to the nature of the position, you will be required to work and travel to locations throughout the Auckland region and potentially across the North Island. Travel costs for these trips will be fully covered by Apex. Please ensure upon application that you have your own transport or access to public transport.
