Drainlayer

Due to company growth TWC are on the hunt for an experienced Drainlayer to work as part of a 5-man team, on our infrastructure projects.

• 2 years’ experience in similar position
• Full NZ Class 1 driver’s licence
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Have a can-do, positive attitude
• Ability to follow instructions
• Maintain a safe work site
• You must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test

We do not cut corners of any type (safety, quality, production) on our projects – it’s important that you have the same mindset.

About the Position

This is a permanent, full-time role. You will be working with pipe ranging from 375mm to 1600mm, supported by GPS-equipped excavators, highly experienced operators, and a site-based supervisor to ensure the work is programmed and streamlined.

• Inspecting and producing daily prestarts of equipment/trucks in use for each day.
• Follow hazard procedures
• Maintain accurate time sheets, and daily job activities.
• Driving TWC vehicles in accordance with NZ Traffic laws and best trade practice.
• Working as part of a team
• Have a can do and positive attitude
• Performing manual labour tasks as required
• Not operating any equipment or plant that you have not been trained to use
• Follow and undertake work instructions
• Maintain a safe work site
• Tasks are completed in an efficient manner without supervision

• Remuneration will be between $30.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on skill and experience.
• Company vehicle may be provided for work-related travel only.
• Hours of work are 40–50 per week, with a minimum of 40 hours guaranteed worked across Monday to Friday inclusive.
• This role is primarily Auckland-based, with travel from time to time across the wider Auckland area and the Gisborne region, which may involve overnight stays. A stay-away allowance and a nightshift allowance apply.
