About the RoleIn this role you will support the busy DOSA team in the perioperative environment at Waikato Hospital. In this vital role you will work under the supervision of Registered and Enrolled nurses and provide support and assistance to patients and nursing teams in the Pre and Post-operative setting.This is a full-time, permanent position where you will work 40 hours per week working rostered rotating shifts Monday to Friday, the shifts are 0645, 0830, 1100 and 1200.
These start and finish times are subject to change as the need arises. A full orientation will be given to the successful candidate on appointment Key responsibilities:Performs routine activities of daily living for patients under the delegation and direction of a registered nurse.Functioning as a member of an interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary team to contribute to achieving the consumer’sPush patients who are in beds to theatre.Care for the luggage of patients who are going to theatre.
