We are currently looking for an energetic Whanau Support Worker in Rolleston to support young men and boys in their community. **This is a part-time role with 4 guaranteed hours per week.**

As a Support Worker, you will assist people in their home and community to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives. You will help them achieve their personal goals and engage in activities they enjoy, such as swimming, sports, arts and crafts, movies, shopping — the list is endless!
**About the role & about you**
You will support young people to build independence, confidence, and social connections in a hands-on, mentoring-focused role. The ideal person will be energetic, outgoing, and confident, with a genuine interest in mentoring and connecting with others.
**You’ll be connecting through shared interests such as:**- Cosplay
- Dragon Ball Z
- Dungeons & Dragons
- Xbox gaming
- Coding/tech
- Sports and fitness
- People who are passionate about helping others, are kind and understanding.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience working with youth.
- Full driver's license and owning your own vehicle is essential.
- A desire to support people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes.
- Somebody who has the initiative to push people for their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box. You need to be respectful of others thinking, and their way of living life that may be different to your own.
This is a great opportunity for students who want hands-on experience supporting people with disabilities while sharing their passions.
