JOHN AND JAMES NZ LIMITED T/A BROWNS VANITY in Auckland, New Zealand, is looking for a suitable Salon Supervisor to join the team. To be suitable for this role, you must have either a minimum of one year's relevant experience or a relevant Qualification.
The Perfect candidate will have the responsibility of providing services, learning and recommending new techniques as required, applying knowledge of the industry, and providing excellent customer service daily.
The pay rate will be $26.00 to $29.00 per hour, based on Work Experience.
Location: AucklandJob type: Full-time – 30 hours per week, based on a rotating Roster
Duration: Permanent
The job duties associated- Manage and lead a team of talented hairstylists, ensuring high standards of service and performance
- Oversee the salon floor, allocating tasks and resources to maximise productivity and customer satisfaction
- Provide hands-on hairdressing services to clients, working alongside the styling team.
- Implement company strategies to promote the salon's product and service offerings
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety and operational policies and procedures
- Foster a positive, collaborative team environment and provide coaching and development opportunities for the team
- Monitor and order stock as and when required
- Arranging appointments as per the availability of customers
- Keeping records of payments from customers
- Represent our brand with pride and professionalism across assigned retail locations
- Demonstrate and promote our beauty products to staff and customers
- Achieve sales targets
- Ensure visual merchandising standards are met
- Provide feedback and insights to the head office on store performance and customer trends
- Assist the employer in hiring staff and recording their regular performance.
- Provide a weekly roster to the team and record their presence and absence
- Record their weekly hours and create a draft of payroll for the management
- Provide ongoing training and support to the team in line with technique, time efficiency and customer satisfaction.
What we expect:
- You must have at least one year's experience or a relevant Qualification to be suitable for this role.
- You will be trained, supported and guided.
- Self-motivated, multitasking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Available on weekends, holidays and for split shifts, a roaster will be provided in advance.
- Basic verbal communication skills.
- Time Management skills with a Professional approach
