Health Care Assistant (Casual)

We are seeking experienced Health Care Assistants (Level 2 or higher) to join our casual pool and work across both facilities. This position offers flexible hours ranging from 8 to 40 hours per week, depending on roster requirements, leave cover, and resident needs.

• Provide high-quality personal care in accordance with resident care plans
• Assist with mobility, grooming, hygiene, dressing, toileting, and meals
• Observe and report any changes in resident condition or behaviour
• Maintain resident safety, privacy, dignity, and comfort
• Support meal service, housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry tasks
• Follow infection control, health & safety, and organisational policies
• Work collaboratively within a supportive care team

• Supportive and friendly teams across two welcoming rest homes
• Ongoing training and development opportunities
• Variety and flexibility in shifts and locations

• Minimum NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing Level 2 (or equivalent)
• Previous experience in aged residential care or a similar health/support environment
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach
• Ability to work rostered shifts, including weekends
• Reliability, professionalism, and ability to work under delegation
• Legal right to work in New Zealand
