After more than 30 years of delivering excellence, we're looking for a talented and driven Workshop Controller to join our exciting journey with the opening of the new Pukekohe Toyota Dealership.

About the Role:

As our Workshop Controller, you'll be at the heart of our high-performing Aftersales department - managing day-to-day workshop operations while mentoring and motivating a team of skilled technicians and groomers.

This is a key role for someone who thrives on structure, pace, and achieving results - both through their own actions and through bringing the best out of others.

You'll be responsible for:
  • Leading and developing and training our team members
  • Driving technician Productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage workflow and meet daily targets by Managing workshop scheduling and job allocation to maximise throughput and department KPIs
  • Undertake quality control processes to ensure every vehicle leaves the workshop meeting Toyota's exacting standards
  • Maintain high standards in presentation, including team members and work areas
  • Monitoring costs including consumables, Oils and workshop Equipment
  • Collaborating with all departments to deliver seamless customer experience
  • Maintain QMS and ensure all compliance in accordance of NZTA
  • High level of Health & Safety management

About You:

You're a natural leader with strong technical know-how and a passion for delivering quality results. You enjoy mentoring others and can thrive in a fast-paced, high-output environment.

You'll also bring:
  • A Trade Certificate in Automotive Engineering (Level 4)
  • At least 5 years of hands-on workshop experience
  • AVI Certification
  • A current NZ driver's licence
  • Solid computer skills and confidence with workshop systems
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • A safety-first mindset with working knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act
