For example, Kaihāpai are part of ACC's Recovery teams and play an important role in supporting kiritaki (clients) who need a dedicated point of contact due to the complexity or sensitivity of their recovery needs.

Kaihāpai focus on building strong, trust'based relationships and supporting recovery outcomes in ways that respond to each person's individual needs, preferences and circumstances.
Working alongside kiritaki and their whānau, Kaihāpai help navigate ACC processes, coordinate rehabilitation activities, and support progress toward greater independence and, where appropriate, return to work.
