Waiter

Spice Traders in Hastings is looking for an experience Front of house staff member to become part of our busy team.

This role is a full time permanent role with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week. Hours are from 9am to 10pm Monday to Sunday on a roster.

Pay is $ 24 - $27ph depending on skills and experience.

• Prepare tables, ensure they are clean and fully set
• Greeting customers warmly and taking orders in person and over the phone
• Handling payments accurately using a POS system (cash and card)
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation at the front counter and customer waiting area
• Answering customer questions about the menu and making recommendations when needed
• Communicating clearly with kitchen staff to coordinate orders
• Helping with light cleaning duties and restocking supplies as required
• Check customers are satisfied with their orders and any issues are resolved

What We’re Looking For:

• 12 months experience as a waiter or relevant front of house role
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Physically fit and able - coordination and prolonged periods of standing required
• Ability to work under pressure during busy periods
• Basic math and cash-handling skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
