You'll be part of a significant system change, working to ensure resources are used efficiently to deliver better care, reduce waiting times, and support equity across communities.Make a meaningful impact on the future of public healthcare in Aotearoa.About the Role The GM Finance will lead the District Finance team, providing strategic financial management and expert advice to the Group Director Operations (GDO).
In this key role, you will drive financial performance, mitigate risk, and support informed operational decision-making to ensure the district operates within budget.You will oversee core finance functions, including monthly reporting, cash flow management, and the coordination of regional budgets and forecasts- ensuring all deliverables are completed accurately and on time.This is a location-specific role, based alongside the GDO to support close collaboration and effective leadership.About youYou'll bring 10
- 15 years of proven experience in senior financial management roles, along with a deep understanding of financial principles and practices.
Previous health sector experience is an advantage.Your technical expertise spans accounting and finance, with a solid grasp of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
You also bring specialist knowledge in cost accounting and performance analytics, giving you the insight to support informed decision-making and effective strategic planning.As a Chartered Accountant (or equivalent), you combine professional credibility with a practical, solutions-focused approach
