About the Company
This highly reputable company has offices and plant in both Australia and New Zealand and is seeking a Master Production Scheduler to join their team in Hamilton. They are well regarded for their innovative design and manufacture of products to service both small and large projects.

They take great pride in their finished products and have a strong reputation for their creativity, quality, customer service and delivery.

The Role

This is a challenging and critical role for their production activities and you will be required to see that any planning aligns with overall business strategy. They require a Master Production Scheduler who can set the production Schedule to deliver the production objectives as set out in the Sales and Operations Plan.

The ideal candidate must have excellent understanding of ERP programs and should be adept at planning for production planning driven by MRP.
This role requires skill, experience and energy to take the clients production activities to the next level. You will have the full support of the team and the opportunity to engage with stakeholders at a high level in your own style.

The Master Production Planner will work directly with the Factory Manager, who is responsible for Factory and its activities oversight and communication to Head Office based in Auckland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Factory Manager through coordinating all the production Schedulers activities and ensure that the production planning meets the overall Master Schedule.
  • Maintain the Factory Production Schedule and clearly communicate any changes to the Schedule to key stakeholders.
  • Review and manage allocation of jobs to the assembly line.
  • Maintain manufactured components and liaise with the Auckland based Production Scheduler on stock availability.
  • Maintain and review the Production Schedule to ensure accuracy of the schedule and that details from Custom engineering are entered into the Schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with the clients Quality Assurance Program as it affects the job at hand.
  • Understand and comply with the client’s company safety and environmental policies and practices.
Ideal qualifications, Experience and Attributes:
  • CPIM preferred but not essential.
  • Proven experience in production driven by MRP.
  • Strong Master Production Scheduling experience in a MRP environment
  • Experience with being part of Sales and operations planning.
  • Experience with working within a time and progess planning management
  • Understanding of system managed Bills of Material and Method of Operations
  • Demonstrated ability in monitoring production processes
  • Basic costing knowledge
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations and best practices in financial management.
  • Be a methodical and logical thinker
  • Able to perform under pressure and to react when necessary to changes to production schedules
  • Be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes and constraints, in particular as to the performance of the EPICOR/E9 System.
