Business Analyst

The Business Analyst (BA) plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs, product strategy, and technical execution across core product streams, including Realspace (B2B SaaS Product), Ascent Tools (Internal IP/Tools for Arch Vis production), and Unreal Engine (core gaming technology for interactive 3D experiences).

This role is critical in enhancing the clarity, consistency, and quality of product requirements, enabling effective strategy execution and supporting the Product team in driving product development forward.

Requirements

• Engage with stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements for product features, enhancements, and new developments.
• Conduct in-depth analysis to translate high-level business needs into detailed technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure requirements are comprehensive, unambiguous, and align with the overall product strategy.

• Act as the primary liaison between the business/product teams and the development team, ensuring clear and consistent communication of product requirements.
• Provide technical clarity and context to developers, addressing any questions or concerns that arise during the development process.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to bridge knowledge gaps and ensure alignment across teams.

• Support the Chief Product Officer and Product Managers in defining product roadmaps and prioritising features based on business value, technical feasibility, and customer needs.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure requirements are correctly interpreted and implemented, providing guidance throughout the development lifecycle.
• Track and report on the progress of product development, highlighting any issues or risks that could impact delivery timelines.

• Identify and recommend improvements to the product development and requirements gathering processes to enhance efficiency, clarity, and quality.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, process flow diagrams, wireframes, and user journey maps.
• Develop templates and standards for capturing product requirements to ensure consistency and clarity across product streams.

• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure product features meet the defined requirements and quality standards.
• Participate in testing activities, including user acceptance testing (UAT), to validate that developed features align with business needs.
• Provide feedback and support in refining features based on testing outcomes.

• Use data analytics tools to extract insights from product usage, customer feedback, and market trends, informing product improvements and feature enhancements.
• Develop and present reports on product performance, user behaviour, and feature adoption, providing actionable insights to the Chief Product Officer and product team

• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their needs, pain points, and priorities.
• Communicate complex technical information in an easily understandable way to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in.
• Provide regular updates to the Product team on the status of projects, potential risks, and opportunities.
