TheRegional Rehabilitation units provide consumers with specialised care with afocus on recovery and rehabilitation in both secure and open settings. We arelooking for an innovative and committed Support Worker to join the inpatientteam at Tane Mahuta.
The successful applicant will be energetic, have theability to give positive encouragement to clients, be flexible with tasks, haveenergy and be able to work under the direction and delegation of OTs. We are looking for someone to be able tosupport people with mental health issues to create a daily routine andestablish activities on the campus and within the community.
Will be asked toassist with facilitating groups targeting specific goals, carry out individualsessions based on a plan, and will encourage and motivate clients to engage andparticipate.About theTeam/Service Location Tane Mahuta has a supportive teamculture that works hard to work collaboratively as an MDT in order to deliverbest care within an inpatient setting.
The immediate OT team is made up of 2Occupational Therapist and 3 Occupational Therapy Support Workers (OTSW). Thisteam is welcoming and accepting of new ideas.About you ' Practicein a manner that service users determine as being culturally safe.' Berespectful and able to collaborate in practice.' Usegood communication- written, verbal and electronic skills.' Abilityto work under direction and delegation.' Fulldrivers licence.' Experiencein MH forensic rehabilitation.'
