We are interested to hear from pharmacists who can work full- or part-time hours.This core pharmacist role will provide a comprehensive, effective and safe pharmaceutical service to patients and staff in Te Tai Tokerau
- Northland, primarily based at Whangarei Hospital.
- $116,390 ($39.83
- $55.96 per hour) for full time equivalent, dependent on experience.

You will be encouraged to develop your clinical skills across disciplines and opportunities for clinical career development.The nature of these positions will see you conducting rotational ward-based work with opportunities to develop your knowledge across a variety of clinical areas working amongst a supportive multi-disciplinary team.
About the Team/Service/LocationWhangarei Hospital is a medium sized (approximately 260 beds) secondary hospital located in Whangarei (approximately 2 hours north of Auckland), unique in terms of the diverse, high-needs population we serve.
Our service is committed to providing excellent patient-centred care and achieving equitable health outcomes through collaboration, continuous improvement and innovation.With a talented team of approximately 20 pharmacists, we provide clinical pharmacy services to inpatient areas across Medicine, Surgery, Older People's Health & Rehabilitation, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, Children's Health, Mental Health, Infectious Diseases & Antimicrobial Stewardship, Cancer and Blood services and Renal services.For more information on living and working in Whangarei, click here About youApplicants must hold or be eligible to hold a current Annual Practising Certificate from the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand.
If you are applying from outside New Zealand, please tell us the registration route that applies, and what stage of that process you are currently at.Whilst not essential, a Post graduate qualification in a relevant clinical area and/or previous hospital pharmacy experience is highly desirable.Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Applicants must submit a minimum of a cover letter and an up to date CV with your application.
