Cafe Manager

We are currently seeking individual for the role of Café Manager (1x) to join our beautiful café located in Martinborough. We are an independent eatery with a passion for good food, good coffee and authentic service for breakfast, brunch and lunch.

Details for the position of Cafe Manager x 1 are as below:

Pay Rate: $25 per hour (Can negotiate based on experience and knowledge)

This is a full-time position with a min of 30 hours per week (Must have the availability to work on weekends)

Some of the duties include but are not limited to as follows:

• Managing the day to day operations of the Cafe/Restaurant.
• Planning and organizing private events and celebrations.
• Selecting, training, and supervising waiting and kitchen staff.
• Handling front-of-house and Back-of-the-house operations.
• Building good relations with the customers, speaking with diners to address any issues, and resolving them efficiently and accurately.
• People management and leadership skills – should have a natural ability to lead and maintain a good rapport with the staff.
• Analyse the staff performance, provide feedback, and improve productivity and quality.
• Planning menu, pricing in consultation with the chef, and maintaining good food quality.
• Keeping records of the stock levels and financial transactions.
• Take ownership of budgets and cost control methods to minimize expenses.
• Promote the restaurant to reach a broader audience through discounts, offers, and social media.
• Manage a good image of the business and recommend ways for improvement.
• Should have good knowledge and understanding of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations & procedures.

Job requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of work experience in hospitality environment or a bachelors degree in Hospitality/Hotel Management.
• Good communication, listening, and memorisation skills.
• Clean character with no criminal background.
• Good at managing and leading people.
