Full Time Over Two Kaiako
Our special centre is nestled on two acres of natural outdoor space, where tamariki enjoy an expansive environment that invites exploration, movement, and discovery. Our indoor spaces are warm and homely, drawing inspiration from a Reggio Emilia approach that empowers curiosity and wonder.
We are a well-established and reputable centre, proud of our strong connections with whanau and community. Our team is made up of passionate, authentic and skilled kaiako who enjoy working together and having fun.
Our philosophy is built on Pikler-inspired practice, respectful relationships, and intentional teaching. We believe children thrive when supported by kaiako who observe deeply, respond thoughtfully, and create opportunities for inquiry and connection.
Professional learning and growth are important to us. Kaiako are empowered to reflect, think deeply about their practice, and grow, with ongoing professional learning and reflective dialogue embedded in our culture.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is grounded, reflective and confident in their practice
- Works collaboratively and contributes positively to team culture
- Has a strong understanding of supporting children’s social and emotional competence
- Values inquiry-based learning and intentional teaching
- Sees challenges as opportunities for growth
- Has a genuine love of learning
This role would suit an experienced kaiako or a beginning teacher with a strong desire to learn and develop their practice.
If you are passionate about respectful relationships, rich learning environments, and being part of a team that values professional thinking and growth, we would love to hear from you.
