About the role

As a Service Technician, you will play a key role in providing hands-on repairs, offering expert technical support to customers, and collaborating with vendors to ensure the smooth resolution of service requests. This role is based in Auckland and reports directly to the Support Manager.

You will be responsible for:

  • Diagnosing and repairing electronic and mechanical hardware
  • Providing technical support via phone, email, or in person
  • Managing service documentation and job records with accuracy
  • Configuring and staging hardware prior to dispatch
  • Maintaining technical product knowledge and reporting recurring issues

Your day-to-day will include working with a supportive service team, keeping up with technical training, and ensuring customer satisfaction through professional communication and high-quality repairs.

A week in the life of a Service Technician:

  • Hands-on repair of electronic devices using your mechanical and technical skills
  • Supporting customers and internal sales teams with product queries
  • Collaborating with vendors to coordinate returns, repairs, or replacements
  • Documenting service jobs with clarity and precision
  • Loading system configurations and building operating system images
  • Working closely with account managers to understand and meet client needs

Who are we looking for:

  • A relevant certification such as Electrical EAS / EST or Electronics Certification (A+ or similar) or working to towards it.
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • A proactive and detail-oriented mindset
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities and a basic understanding of networking
  • Confidence communicating with customers and vendors
  • The ability to work well independently and within a team
  • A fast learner with an eagerness to grow your technical skills
  • Experience in a similar role or with POS/electrical hardware is a bonus – but not essential.
