Ready to hit the road with purpose? Open Country Milk Collection, in partnership with Open Country Dairy, is looking for experienced Class 5 drivers to join our top-tier Waikato team.
About Us
Open Country Dairy is New Zealand's largest independent dairy processor and exporter of premium whole milk powder. As a key part of this operation, Southern Milk Transport keeps things moving with a pristine fleet and a dedicated team that safely and efficiently collects milk from farms across the region.
Our base is in Waharoa, and our reputation is built on high standards, great gear, and strong relationships—with both farmers and team members.
The Opportunity
We're gearing up for another busy season and have multiple full-time, permanent roles available for skilled tanker drivers. If you're someone who takes pride in your rig, values safety, and enjoys working in a supportive environment, this could be the opportunity for you.
- Shifts: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off
- Season: Dairy season runs August–May, with annualised hours—meaning you'll have the option for paid time off in June and July.
- Overtime: Additional hours may be available for those keen to earn extra.
- Operating modern Scania tankers safely and professionally
- Building great rapport with our valued farmer suppliers
- Being an active, positive part of our high-performing team
- Sticking to health and safety procedures without compromise
- A full, clean Class 5 licence
- At least one year's experience driving truck and trailer units
- Strong awareness of health and safety best practice
- Confidence using EROAD and M2X (advantageous)
- A great attitude, strong work ethic, and team-first mindset
