Qualified Teacher (BestStart Raumati)

About the Role
We are looking for a Kaiako to work primarily with tamariki over 2 years old, who also embraces a tuakana–teina approach, where older and younger tamariki learn alongside, with, and from one another. This supports collaboration, empathy, leadership, and shared problem-solving.Older tamariki gain confidence and responsibility, while younger tamariki learn through observation, imitation, and meaningful interaction.

This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours, Monday–Friday).

What We're Looking For- BEd/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher certification
- Strong understanding of child-led curriculum, planning, and extending learning
- Solid knowledge of ECE Regulations, Te Whariki, and compliance expectations
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in everyday practice
- Passion for delivering high-quality teaching and learning
