This ACNM position is for Acute &Inpatient Services.The ACNM - Acute & Inpatient Services, works under the direction of the Nurse Manager over the Inpatient Service at Ashburton Hospital, including the Acute Admitting Unit, Ward 1 and Ward 2 (the acute medical ward).Within the ward and community environments, theACNM is tasked with rostering and staff allocation.They work on the ground;that is, not only do they coordinate staffing and nursing care, they are alsothe direct point of contact for staff requiring clinical guidance and providedirection in service procedures and processes. The ACNM is the key implementerof the Nurse Manager's strategic plan, both in respects of ensuring the optimumutilisation of staff and resources across their respective services, but alsoin coaching and building the capability of staff.
As such, they support theNurse Manager in carrying out performance reviews and development plans.About the ServiceOne of only four level three rural hospitals in theSouth Island, and the largest rural health facility in Canterbury, Ashburtonand Rural Health Services provide a range of Inpatient, Day patient, Outpatientand Community based services to the community.
Best responding to the uniqueneeds of the surrounding rural communities, Ashburton and Rural HealthServices' rural generalist model of care emphasises integrated care across allof their settings.About YouSkills and Experience:Senior Registered Nurse, with at least 5 years clinical practiceTeam leadership experience (this can be both within and outside of clinical environments).Demonstrate experience in both managing crisis situations and guiding staff through these (clinical or non-clinical)Is Proficient or Expert on the Professional Development Recognition Programme.Hold a relevant postgraduate qualification or in the process of securing one.Be registered with the New Zealand Nursing Council, with a current APC.Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated toensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
