Interpret and work from architectural plans and specifications
Ensure all work complies with the New Zealand Building Code, health and safety regulations, and site requirements
Collaborate with other trades to ensure timely project delivery
Sound knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code and construction practices
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Own tools and reliable transport preferred
Full time permanent position – at least 30 hours per week
SIPs are advanced construction materials that serve as both structural framework and insulation, offering high thermal performance (R-value) and enabling the construction of warmer, more energy-efficient homes.
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tradesperson who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and understands the requirements of building in New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute a variety of carpentry tasks, including framing, formwork, fit-outs, and finishing workInterpret and work from architectural plans and specifications
Ensure all work complies with the New Zealand Building Code, health and safety regulations, and site requirements
Collaborate with other trades to ensure timely project delivery
Maintain a safe and tidy work environment at all times
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years’ carpentry experienceSound knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code and construction practices
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Own tools and reliable transport preferred
Joinery skills is a plus
