The Supported Life Style Hauraki Trust takes a unique approach to providing support services for people with disabilities in our community. As part of the team here, you’ll be helping to achieve our mission to support Life Stylers to live their best possible lives.

We work hard to be the chosen disability service by providing a collective foundation that promotes a sense of belonging, support, and trust to each Life Styler. This means they can be as independent as possible in all aspects of life. To do this, we ensure the Life Styler’s needs are met physically, psychologically, socially, emotionally, spiritually, and culturally.

About the role:

Our welcoming environment is thriving, and we are seeking a Registered Nurse. This role is responsible for assessing, and evaluating the health and wellbeing needs for Life Stylers. You will be part of a team to identify potential medical issues and provide interventions and treatments.

As part of the Life Stylers team you will work closely with the local GP practices, pharmacy, district nurses, other health providers and medical specialists. You will be involved with health and wellbeing education for both Life Stylers and staff.

About you:

You will have a joy and passion for people and a natural ability to build relationships, and work as part of a collaborative and supportive team. Work alongside fellow Registered Nurse and Occupational Therapist as part of the Trust IDT.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably with knowledge of disability
  • Hold or be able to obtain an Annual NZ Practicing Certificate
  • Hold a full clean NZ Drivers Licence
  • Experience in managing treatment plans for individuals
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring others to provide the care for people
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) in English
You must possess the right to work in New Zealand and a willingness to undergo police vetting and additional checks in order to be considered for this position.
