Entec is growing at a stellar pace. The size of our business has doubled in the last few years, but our workload is growing even quicker. Hence, we are looking for experienced tradespeople to add to our rotating equipment service team. This job will take you into a variety of heavy industrial sites.

Our rotating equipment service team carries out planned services, troubleshooting and breakdown repair on a variety of rotating equipment, including Waukesha gas engines and Ariel gas compressors. The majority of work is carried out on customer sites around the North Island, and in our well-equipped workshop in Bell Block.Following an initial training period, we would need to add you to our on-call roster for intermittent evening and weekend call-out cover.
The job we have on offer:Due to buoyant company growth we are looking for excellent tradespeople (mechanic or fitter trade qualification or experience, rotating equipment would be a bonus).
To be considered you would need: -to be a trade-qualified mechanical technician or mechanical fitter
- to be a problem solver,
- to have good attention to detail,
- to be an effective communicator,
- to be able to help create and work to production schedules and,
- to be willing to work as part of a team
- flexibility to work away from home for periods at a time.
-willingness to be on our on-call roster.
We operate in the heavy industrial sector, predominantly in the oil, gas and petrochemical environment. We will train you in relevant skills such as gas testing and permit to work, and you will need a good standard of health and fitness and be subject to regular drug & alcohol testing.
Additional OEM training may also be offered to qualifying candidates.As an experienced tradesperson operating in this demanding environment, you will need to demonstrate excellent workmanship, productivity and attention to detail to both your hands-on work and your documentation. You will also need to have initiative and the ability to self-manage your work.
Remuneration will be by way of a competitive hourly rate dependent on relevant industry experience and qualifications, plus penal rates and allowances. The standard working week will be 5 days, 40 hours per week but flexibility around working hours, the ability to be on-call after hours and the ability to work away from home is a requirement.
