Whiria Te Tangata o Taupo Moana

Whiria Te Tangata o Taupo Moana is a Nurse Practitioner lead clinic established in 2023, offering free health care to whanau in the Tuwharetoa rohe. We are a mobile clinic, based in Turangi, Taupo and Waitahanui. Currently, we have one Nurse Practitioner who works across Turangi, Taupo and Waitahanui and one GP working part-time in Turangi.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The location will be alternating between our Taupo and Waitahanui clinics. We are searching to cover a 0.4 FTE, however we are open to discussion for the right candidate.

About the position: You will be working independently in these locations with a team of nurses, MCA's, administrators and Rongoa practitioners. You will have access to our PMS system and you will be seeing patients in consultation, both booked appointments and urgent care (where required).

About you: Ability to work independently, have experience in General Practice or Community Health Care or similar. 91% of our enrolled population are Maori/PI, you will need to demonstrate your ability to work alongside our whanau and incorporate culturally safe practice.
