The Opportunity

As Project Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering the first earthworks package for this transformative project. Working alongside a high-performing team, you’ll ensure on-time, on-budget execution while upholding Ceres NZ’s standards of safety, quality, and client collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery: Oversee earthworks operations to ensure compliance with design, schedule, and budget.
  • Progress Management: Monitor timelines, coordinate activities, and proactively resolve issues to keep the project on track.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare detailed status reports, analyze trends, and recommend actionable insights.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary technical liaison for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Safety Leadership: Champion a culture of safety and mentorship within your team.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Geotechnical, or related field).
  • 3+ years of project engineering experience, preferably in earthworks or large-scale civil construction.
  • Strong grasp of NZ contractual and construction standards (e.g., NZS 3910).
  • Proven ability to lead teams, solve problems, and communicate effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a track record of delivering results independently and collaboratively.
