About the Role

We are looking for experienced Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join our Adult Community and Long-Term Conditions Directorate. This is a permanent full-time role - 40 hours/week. The role is based at Kahui Marino, Pt Chevalier Clinical Centre.
The primary purpose of the role is to provide a client-centred safe, effective, and efficient outcome focused specialised wheelchair and seating service. This is achieved by maintaining an agreed clinical caseload providing assessment, education, configuration and review of wheelchair and seating solutions.

The majority of your working time is client related.

About the Team/Service/Location

The Mobility Solutions team are a client focused, motivated and creative group of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, technicians and therapy assistants who assist people of all ages and abilities to achieve their mobility and positioning goals.

The role is based at Kahui Marino, Pt Chevalier Clinical Centre.

About you

As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Have New Zealand registration as an Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist with current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • 2+ years of post-graduate clinical work experience as an OT / PT
  • Full, clean New Zealand Drivers' License
  • Be a great connector of people and ideas
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Effective time management, prioritisation and organisation skills
  • Drive, energy and initiative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience working in wheelchair and seating advantageous
  • Credentialed or underway with the credentialing process for WMPML1 or WMPML2 advantageous
