Civil Drainlayer
We are seeking a permanent, full-time Civil Drainlayer to join our highly regarded Water Projects Team within our Water Division.

At Nelmac Kumanu, we take pride in servicing and maintaining Nelson’s reticulation network on a 24/7 basis. Our Water Team are involved in all aspects of the operation and maintenance of the water supply network, ensuring that it is fully functioning and continuously delivering quality water to homes and businesses
You’ll contribute to the successful delivery of project works undertaken by the Projects Team and essentially be involved with installing new water, wastewater and stormwater pipework within the Nelson / Tasman region. The work is highly physical so you will need to have a good level of fitness and be happy to work outdoors in all weathers.
Suitable applicants will ideally have the following skills/experience:* At least 2 years’ experience in civil work- National Certificate in Pipelaying and / or Drainlaying
- WTR endorsement advantageous
- Current full NZ driver’s license (plus Class 2 preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously whilst also being a strong team player
- A high level of focus for Health and Safety awareness and application
- Proactive, can-do attitude with flexible approach
