Qualified Carpenter - Commercial & Residential Projects (Hamilton/Waikato)

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Carpenter to join one of our reputable clients. Working across a range of commercial and residential construction projects in the Hamilton/Waikato region. This is a full-time, temporary role offering consistent hours, with the potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.About the Role:

You will be working on varied construction sites - from structural work and framing through to detailed finishing. You'll be joining teams who take pride in their work, value safety, and deliver to high standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and skilled carpenter to step into a long-term role with flexibility and strong support.Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Carry out a full range of carpentry tasks including formwork, framing, cladding, and finishing
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with NZ building standards
  • Work safely and professionally on active job sites
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other trades
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Provide mentorship or oversight to apprentices or labourers as neededRequirements:
  • NZ-recognised Carpentry Qualification (Level 4 or equivalent) - Essential
  • Proven hands-on experience in commercial and/or residential construction
  • Full tool kit and tool belt
  • Physically fit and able to work on active construction sites
  • Valid work rights in New Zealand (citizen, resident, or valid work visa)
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail
  • Own reliable transport
  • Solid references from recent carpentry rolesPreferred (but not essential):
  • Site Safe or ConstructSafe Passport
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Additional tickets such as EWP, Working at Heights, or Scaffolding
  • Site supervisory experience or ability to lead small teamsWhat's on Offer:
