Qualified Carpenter - Commercial & Residential Projects (Hamilton/Waikato)

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Carpenter to join one of our reputable clients. Working across a range of commercial and residential construction projects in the Hamilton/Waikato region. This is a full-time, temporary role offering consistent hours, with the potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.About the Role:
You will be working on varied construction sites - from structural work and framing through to detailed finishing. You'll be joining teams who take pride in their work, value safety, and deliver to high standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and skilled carpenter to step into a long-term role with flexibility and strong support.Key Responsibilities:- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Carry out a full range of carpentry tasks including formwork, framing, cladding, and finishing
- Ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with NZ building standards
- Work safely and professionally on active job sites
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other trades
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Provide mentorship or oversight to apprentices or labourers as neededRequirements:
- NZ-recognised Carpentry Qualification (Level 4 or equivalent) - Essential
- Proven hands-on experience in commercial and/or residential construction
- Full tool kit and tool belt
- Physically fit and able to work on active construction sites
- Valid work rights in New Zealand (citizen, resident, or valid work visa)
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail
- Own reliable transport
- Solid references from recent carpentry rolesPreferred (but not essential):
- Site Safe or ConstructSafe Passport
- First Aid Certificate
- Additional tickets such as EWP, Working at Heights, or Scaffolding
- Site supervisory experience or ability to lead small teamsWhat's on Offer:
