Emirates Team New Zealand is looking for an IT Technician to help keep our team performing efficiently. As a technology driven team a wide range of software is used for different applications across the various departments. Having reliable software and hardware is critical for the team to continue to develop and push boundaries.
The successful candidate will be working alongside our IT manager. In addition to the more typical IT tasks as experienced in other industries, the IT Technician will be expected to understand and learn the procedures he performs on a sailing day to ensure the team has redundancy in this area.This includes going out on a chase boat, monitoring data, and working calmly but quickly and efficiently to solve any issues.
Responsibilities- Providing first-line troubleshooting and technical support for hardware and software issues.
- Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Azure, 365 & Active Directory administration.
- Performing regular maintenance and upgrades on computer systems, networks, and related equipment.
- Configuring and deploying new hardware, software and network solutions.
- Supporting on water data, video & comms infrastructure where needed.
- Experience with managing VM hosts is a plus.
- Relevant experience in Information Technology or a related field.
- Understanding of networking principles and protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to continuously learn and stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies.
- Boating experience is a bonus!
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends, as required.
- Willingness to travel overseas for periods of many months.
- The right to work in New Zealand.
- Work as part of a sports team competing for the oldest sporting trophy still being contested!
