Previous experience preferred however not essential.
Load and unload packages onto the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and security of all items.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients in a professional manner.
Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records including proof of delivery and any discrepancies encountered using handheld scanner.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure the safety of yourself, pedestrians, and other drivers on the road.
Stick to company standards and regulations without taking any shortcuts, ensuring that all deliveries are conducted with integrity and professionalism.
Fully comply with all legal and regulatory requirements related to transportation and delivery operations.
Collaborate with team members and management to continuously improve delivery processes and customer satisfaction. Requirements
Secondary or High School Certificate.
Valid full driver licences including Dangerous Good Licence or ability gain full driver’s licence including DG Licence.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical stamina to lift and carry packages weighing up to 30Kg.
Display a willingness to start early in the morning and finish late as needed to ensure timely and efficient delivery and pickups of packages.
This is an immediate start to hit the ground running, you will be given full training so other than needing roller skates you will be ready to get into it!
Key Challenges (& Critical Success Factors): or Duties and Responsibilities
- To assist with the loading of cages for linehaul vehicles
- To ensure that the timetables set by the Branch Manager and/or Franchise Support Office Manager are adhered to
- To ensure that the “clean floor” policy is adhered to
- All freight is handled with care, throwing and negligence of freight is not acceptable
- Undertake training that will be provided from time to time
- Liaise with all other staff in a business like manor
- Undertake other tasks as directed by the Operations Manager from time to time.
