Harvest Team Member on Veggie Farm
Looking for Veggie Harvester/ farm laborer to join our team harvesting on a 30 ha organic vegetable farm. Ideal candidate has previous experience in horticulture, thrives in a physically demanding role, has great physical fitness and stamina and is a good team player.
Harvest Team Member tasks include:
- Harvesting, washing, and packing produce
- Assisting with on-farm duties such as seed sowing, transplanting seedlings, weeding, and other farm and greenhouse tasks
Requirements:
- Motivated Individual with a Positive Can-Do Attitude
- Physically Fit and Strong, Capable of Comfortably Lifting and Carrying 22kg
- Physical strength is necessary for tasks such as lifting and carrying crates of produce weighing up to 22kg. Your fitness will ensure efficiency and reduce the risk of injuries.
- Enjoys Outdoor Work and Getting Hands Dirty
- Attention to Detail and Ability to Quickly Learn New Skills
- Prior Experience in Physically Demanding Jobs: While not mandatory, prior experience in physically demanding roles demonstrates resilience, work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a labor-intensive environment.
- Flexibility to Work Longer Hours on Busy Days: Our farm operations may occasionally require longer working hours during peak periods.
- Own Transportation
Note: Some tasks are repetitive, longer hours may be required, and work is conducted outdoors in all weather conditions.
