Welder/Fabricator | Christchurch | $29 - 34 p.h

A respected structural steel fabrication company based in Christchurch is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join their team. With a strong pipeline of commercial and infrastructure projects across Canterbury and beyond, this role offers the opportunity to work in a modern, well-equipped facility and be part of delivering high-profile structural builds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate structural steel components according to engineering drawings and specifications
• Perform high-quality MIG, TIG or Stick welding to industry standards
• Operate a range of fabrication machinery and tools safely and effectively
• Carry out fitting, assembly, and finishing of steel structures
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to all health and safety procedures

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in structural steel fabrication and welding
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
• Competency in MIG, TIG or Stick welding; tickets are advantageous but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a busy workshop environment
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
