[ref. w39248800] Civil Engineering Technician

Freestyla is currently looking for a Civil Engineering Technician in Auckland to start as soon as possible !

We are looking for someone with a safety-first attitude - for you, workmates and the public. Someone who is flexible, committed and reliable. This will be full time work and the rate will range from $33.00 to $36.00 per hour depending on your level of experience.

This will be a fixed term position until 28th February 2026. This role requires an eye for detail and immaculate record keeping ! The position is a full time position, with minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed. The work hours are between Monday-Friday: 7:00am-5:30pm (possibly some Saturdays required).

Tasks include:

• Performing engineering calculations & analysis
• Producing engineering reports
• Undertaking engineering design and liaison with our drafting team
• Preparation of tender documents and the assessment of tenders
• Site Observation and contract administration
• Site investigations and field testing
• Quality Assurance - in particular, pavements and walkway

Skills & Experience:

• Must have experience in QA in pavements and walkways
• Pass a pre-employment and regular drug tests.
• Must have no criminal record
• Must have minimum 1 year Civil Technician experience in New Zealand
• Must have a current full class 1 drivers licence
• Must have a current SiteSafe or ConstructSafe
• Must be NZ or Australian citizen or hold a valid visa
