Located on the beautiful Kaikoura coast, Kaikoura Health Te Ha O Te Ora offers a wide variety of services to the local community. Our integrated Family Health Centre offers a fantastic mix of general practice and rural hospital medicine with a wide range of services and this role is supporting those important services.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and flexible cleaner who is able to bring their passion for cleaning to our facilities. This role will suit a candidate that is looking to help make the Hospital a hygienic and safe space for our patients and whanau.

Salary - Starting rate $27.80 per hour plus penal rates for weekend and night shifts. Based on the E tu Service and Food Workers collective agreement

You will be responsible for:

  • Completing all cleaning tasks to international healthcare standards
  • Ensuring daily schedules and tasks are completed within set timeframes
  • Operating and maintaining equipment safely around patients and whanau
  • Handling cleaning solutions in accordance with safety protocols

About you

Skills and Experience:

  • High level of patient confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Excellent customer service and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience as a cleaner, particularly within health, is preferred but not essential.
