Our client is a leading global Tier 1 EPC construction in renewables, energy and power transmission projects.

We are seeking a Electrical Supervisorto oversee and manage the electrical Balance of Plant construction of our New Zealand Project in Te Aroha, Waikato Region.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical systems and equipment are installed, maintained, and repaired in a safe and efficient manner. The Electrical Supervisor will also be responsible for managing a team of electricians and ensuring that all work is completed on time and within budget.

The position requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage resources to meet project deadlines.

THE ROLE
  • Will oversee all BOP electrical works including MV and LV trenches, inverters, combiner boxes, earthing, fibre-optics
  • Manage a team of electrical contractors and ensure that all work is completed on time and within budget
  • Develop and implement electrical maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and safety of all electrical systems and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with all electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems and implement effective solutions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of electrical equipment and supplies
  • Provide technical guidance and support to electricians and other staff members
  • Develop and maintain electrical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance records
ABOUT YOU
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-voltage/medium voltage electrical installations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of HV/MV electrical systems, including 33kV reticulation, substations, and/or transmission lines.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards for high-voltage environments.
  • Proven experience in electrical testing and commissioning, especially for HV systems.
  • Valid certifications related to high-voltage electrical work (e.g., HV certification, First Aid, Electrical Safety Standards).
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Valid Construction Passport
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

THE ROSTER

This role is working Monday to Friday, and will be offered as a full-time contract for the duration of the project.

No FIFO roster is available.
