You will enable our people to achieve NZQA qualifications, and provide a platform of good working habits to take forward to the future.

You will further support rehabilitation and reintegration practices.This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of these men and to contribute to their future, the future of their whanau, and the communities in which each man will eventually call home.

In this role you will be instrumental in helping individuals to discover a new career path, talent, passion or simply build confidence in their ability to learn.Our current team works closely with all areas of the business and has a reputation for producing high quality work while delivering relevant, useful, recognised training.

For those prisoners who choose to pursue a career post-release, the training and practical experience they gain will help them to secure employment.You will be continually challenged in this role from facilitating adult learning and on-job training to Health & Safety, budget management and relationship building, both within the prison and external suppliers.

Your passion will inspire others to achieve while your business acumen will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to a high standard.This role would predominantly be a classroom/workshop based position, with the willingness to upskill with Plastering down the line.

Our instructors support offenders to improve their work habits, work experiences and skills so that they can increase their chances of obtaining sustainable and legitimate employment on their release.Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experienceWe are looking for applications from suitable qualified people who have worked in a commercial environment and have:A proven passion and experience in the painting and/or plastering industryA relevant trade qualificationOutstanding Health and Safety practicesIdeally be experienced as an adult educator or NZQA assessor (4098 or equivalent) however it is not essential as we will support you to obtain thisHave exceptional people skills and the motivation to develop othersDemonstrate the ability to harness potential and be proactive in approachHold a current first aid certificate and full clean NZ driver licenseInstructors are expected to hold or, with the appropriate experience, be willing to gain unit standard 4098 in adult education.
