Currently we have opportunities for a 1st Marine Engineer for one of our Deep Sea Fishing vessels. Experience in working onboard a Deep Sea Fishing Trawler vessel is essential.
  • Crew fly from throughout New Zealand
  • 2-6 weeks trip on / 2-6 weeks trip off - paid / retainer + bonus
  • This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marine Engineer who is looking to take the next step in their career development in a pivotal role on one of our key vessels
  • You will receive ongoing career development and support from your Skipper, Chief Engineer and crew of 36-50, depending upon the vessel
  • Shifts are in rotations of 12 hours on / 12 hours off with meals provided by our experienced cooks.
You will have a MEC 5 or 4/3 qualification along with proven experience in managing the mechanical and electrical performance of the vessel’s propulsion, fishing, processing and ancillary systems in a safe and efficient manner, self-motivated to work independently with excellent problem solving skills and a commitment to preventative maintenance systems.

You will have a current Maritime Medical or be able to pass one.
