Administration Support, Occupational Health
Taranaki Base Hospital, New Plymouth
Permanent, Part time- 6 FTE (48 hours per fortnight)
The Administration Support person will be responsible for coordinating essential Health and Safety services and supports the operational function of the team.
The Occupational Health and Safety team works across all areas of the organisation to provide health and safety advisory services and support for all business areas, line managers and employees. The team consists of Safety Advisory Roles, and a specialist Occupational Health team.
This is a busy role, so will suit a person that demonstrates confidence to accept responsibility and act with authority and independence within delegated responsibilities.
You will be provided with the opportunity to:
- Effectively manage tasks related to the administration of meetings including agenda setting, minute taking and distribution.
- Maintain the Health and Safety intranet page.
- Ensure effective systems are in place to manage queries.
- Strive to eliminate health inequalities and achieve health equity for the Taranaki population
The successful candidate will have:
- Business administration qualification or equivalent experience.
- Competent typist and minute taker
Knowledge of the health environment
Demonstrates effective and timely decision making/problem solving techniques
