Cook
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Cook to join our busy bakery and cafe team. This is a high-volume role focusing on both short-order cafe service and the daily production of our hot food cabinet range.
Key Responsibilities:
Hot Food Production: Prepare and cook all hot cabinet items including fried chicken, kebabs, and gourmet toasties.Short-Order Service: Manage the cafe kitchen during peak breakfast and lunch periods, ensuring all orders are cooked to standard and served promptly.
Preparation: Handle all meat marinating, filling preparation, and bulk cooking required for daily operations.
Compliance: Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene. Responsible for daily temperature logging and stock rotation (FIFO) as per our Food Control Plan.
Kitchen Maintenance: Clean and maintain commercial deep fryers, grills, and ovens to a high standard.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen or bakery environment.Skills: Ability to work independently and manage multiple orders under pressure.
Availability: Must be able to work early morning starts and weekend shifts.
Technical: Strong understanding of food safety and temperature control requirements.
Permanent, full-time position (Minimum 30 hours per week).
