Cook wanted

Our pay: $24-$27 per hour depending on skills

We are a well-established popular restaurant based in Tūrangi. Restaurant Name as KY Fast Food.

• Ideal candidates should have at least 1year relevant work experience in the same field or industry, OR
• Have a relevant level 3 qualification or above (equivalent overseas qualification can be accepted)

You are required to:

• Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Checking ingredients to make sure the quality and freshness
• Preparing and Cooking food in various utensils and grillers
• Seasoning, portioning, adding sauces to the food during/after cooking
• Preparing food to meet client’s taste and dietary needs
• Arrange food on plates or wrap it to be taken away
• Storing and reserving food
• Assisting in planning menus, estimating food and labour costs
• Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
• Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of machines before each run, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Assisting with training and coordinating with junior cooks or kitchen hands, as requested by Executive Chef
